About

I am a PhD candidate at the Nic Waals Institute at Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital in Oslo. The title of the project is «Same genes, different disorders: understanding the developmental emergence of different psychiatric problems in the context of common genetic liabilities». I use data on young people from the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study (MoBa).

From before I am an MPhil graduate in psychiatry from the University of Cambridge. My thesis was on the role of autobiographical memory specificity in vulnerability to depression in adolescents. I am also a clinical psychologist, trained at the University of Oslo. My aim is to work as both a researcher and clinical psychologist.

I think this is an exciting time to be involved in clinical psychological research. The field is moving fast towards integrating research spanning from genes and hormones, to emotions and environmental exposures in mental disorders.
