About

I am currently an MPhil student in psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. My thesis is on the role of positive autobiographical memory specificity in vulnerability to depression in adolescents. Before coming to Cambridge I studied clinical psychology for four years at the University of Oslo. My aim is to become a clinical psychologist and researcher. I hope that my work will have a positive effect on the lives of those suffering from mental health issues.

I think this is an exciting time to be involved in clinical psychological research. The field is moving fast towards integrating research spanning from genes and hormones, to emotions and social experiences as causes of mental health disorders. I try to contribute to this development in my studies where I am linking stress hormones, the brain, thoughts, emotions and experiences.
